Are you a recent graduate, sports student, aspiring teacher, or someone passionate about supporting young people? Looking to gain valuable school experience while getting paid?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with welcoming secondary schools across Cardiff to recruit enthusiastic, reliable individuals for a range of support roles including Support Staff, Cover Supervisors, Sports Mentors, and Classroom Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build experience in education, coaching, youth work, or behaviour support while making a genuine difference in pupils’ lives.

The Role May Include:

  • Supporting pupils in class on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
  • Assisting with PE lessons, sports sessions, and after-school clubs
  • Helping with behaviour, engagement, and confidence building
  • Creating a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs where required

Subjects May Include:

English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Art, DT, Computing, and MFL.

Ideal Candidates Will Be:

  • Confident, approachable, and reliable
  • Passionate about helping young people succeed
  • Strong communicators with a calm presence
  • Adaptable, proactive, and energetic
  • Comfortable leading groups or supporting individuals
  • Experienced working with children, teenagers, or in team environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
