Are you an experienced carer? Have you completed training which enables you to improve a clients quality of life? A Specialist School situated in Bury are currently looking to recruit multiple Care Assistants who are looking for an opportunity to transition into Teaching Assistants roles. These particular positions are commencing in April 2018 and the senior leadership team are looking to meet with potential Teaching Assistants as soon as possible, so if you are seeking an exciting new role and feel that you have the appropriate skills and expertise please apply ASAP.
This particular Setting is an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' Special School which is based in Bury. The Setting caters for pupils with a wide range of needs including: Profound Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and significant interaction or communication difficulties. In its most recent 2018 inspection the School was graded as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. Due to the specific needs of the pupils, the care workers should have an understanding of how to cater for young people with additional needs.
These particular roles will involve working directly with pupils who have PMLD and SLD, so applications from individuals who have experience of: operating a hoist, training in moving and handling and significant experience working with children or adults who have additional needs would be favourable.
The ideal care worker will have:
- Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
- Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
- Experience working within a School environment (desirable)
- Moving and handling training and experience operating a hoist (desirable)
If you are currently looking for an exciting new challenge and feel that you have the appropriate skills to succeed please apply directly for immediate consideration. Or please contact James Johnson on the details attached for further information.
