Regular supply teaching work in Dorset available!!

Teaching Personnel's secondary branch in Dorset are urgently seeking additional teachers to join their bank of supply staff ready for the new academic year. If you are a newly qualified or experienced teacher who is currently looking for flexible but regular work, we would love to hear from. Our pay rates range between £100-£120 per day depending on your experience.

How much work can I realistically expect?

Plenty! September and the start of October are usually quiet, but from October half-term until May half-term, we typically have more work than we are able to fill. We are the preferred supplier for between 20-30 schools in Dorset and we have a good local reputation.

Will I have to travel far for work?

No, not unless you want to. However the further you are willing to travel, the more work you will get. We are most busy in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Weymouth, but we also work with schools in more rural areas like Blandford, Shaftesbury, Wareham, Wimborne and the New Forest.

Can I work in primary and SEN schools too?

Sure! If you have no training in these areas but want to see if it is for you, supply is a great way of getting your foot in the door. It will be down to the individual school as to whether they accept a teacher from a non-specialist sector, but most are open to it.

How will I be paid?

Pay is weekly and will be paid directly in to your bank account. We do not use umbrella companies, you will be employed by Teaching Personnel on PAYE. This ensures you take home the most pay possible after tax and national insurance deductions.

Do I have to be available all the time?

The beauty of supply work is that you can fit it around your existing work and personal commitments. You will have access to an online diary and we will only contact you for work when you say you are available. Whether your looking for 1-2 days per week or 5, we'd be delighted to help.

Any more questions? Give James, our Dorset branch manager, a call today to discuss your work preferences or start the registration process. Further details are provided below.
