Job description

Education settings across Dorset are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors and Supply Teachers to provide ad-hoc, flexible cover across a range of secondary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers, experienced cover supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or education professionals looking for flexible working arrangements. The Role:

Successful candidates will:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher.

  • Maintain strong classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.

  • Support students in staying on task and engaged with their work.

  • Follow school policies and procedures effectively.

  • Provide feedback to the relevant staff at the end of each day.

Assignments are available on a day-to-day, short-term and occasional longer-term basis across mainstream secondary schools throughout Dorset.

We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS) or experienced Cover Supervisors.

  • Graduates with relevant subject knowledge and confidence managing classrooms.

  • Individuals with strong behaviour management skills.

  • Reliable, professional and adaptable candidates who can integrate quickly into new school environments.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people in their education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
