Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist educational environment?

Are you confident supporting pupils with additional needs and able to step into a classroom setting with minimal supervision?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Blandford Forum from October half term on a full-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is ready to make an immediate impact.

 

What Will the Role Involve?

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in helping pupils access learning while promoting positive behaviour, engagement, confidence, and independence. You will work alongside teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to ensure every learner receives the guidance they need to flourish.

  • Providing classroom support to students with a range of SEND needs.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and small group activities.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Encouraging social development and communication skills.
  • Supporting individual education plans and learning objectives.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Have previous experience working within education, SEND settings, care, youth work, or similar environments.
  • Can confidently work from the ground running.
  • Understand the challenges and rewards associated with specialist education.
  • Demonstrate resilience, patience, adaptability, and professionalism.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
