A school in Stockport is seeking a Cover/Supply Teacher to join the team after February Half Term 2021.

Requirements for this role area as follows:

  • QTS
  • A desire to work with children across a wide range of ages and abilities.
  • The ability to effectively manage behaviour, and deal with large group sizes.

This presents itself as an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to obtain work after the lockdown period. As a Supply Teacher, who will be expected to:

  • Enforce school policies at all times (including Covid-19 protocols)
  • Quickly develop relationships with staff and students.
  • Ensure suitable arrangements are made for students with SEN.

The skills required to successfully undertake this role:

  • Adaptability
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence.

The school is looking for an approachable cover teacher, who is not phased by having to be flexible in their approach. The required teacher will work in partnership each lessons with support staff (Teaching Assistants/Learning Support Assistants)

There is a need for this position at this school due to the likelihood of increasing staff absences due to Covid-19. There may be the opportunity to work on an extra-curricular basis, as well as small group/individual basis within your subject specialism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
