Supply teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education. Your ability to step in with confidence, maintain high expectations, and engage learners ensures students continue to progress, even in the absence of their regular teacher. You help keep schools running smoothly and students motivated and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons or provide subject teaching in line with national curriculum objectives.

• Ensure students remain engaged and on-task throughout the school day.

• Maintain good classroom management and adhere to each school’s policies and procedures.

• Mark work and provide feedback where appropriate (particularly for short- or long-term placements).

• Build positive relationships with students and staff.

• Adapt quickly to different school environments and student needs.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4).

• Ability to teach your subject confidently, with strong behaviour management skills.

• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

• Enhanced child only DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
