Cover Supervisor – Ideal for Recent Graduates

We are seeking confident, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across the Daventry area. This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about education and keen to make a positive impact in the classroom.


About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task with pre-set work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively

  • Supporting students to stay focused and complete their work

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons


What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Hold a degree (any subject) – ideal for recent graduates

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Are confident leading a classroom of students aged 11–16

  • Are adaptable, organised, and proactive

  • Have an interest in education or teaching as a future career

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
