Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking hands-on classroom experience in a supportive secondary school setting?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with several secondary schools across Newcastle upon Tyne to provide high-quality supply cover. We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated ECTs to work on a flexible, day-to-day or short-term basis from September 2025.
This is an ideal opportunity to develop your teaching skills, gain experience in different school environments, and build your confidence in the classroom – all while receiving ongoing support from a trusted education agency.
The Role:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4

Adapt quickly to different school settings and teaching groups
-
Work closely with school staff to support student learning and progress
-
Build experience in a variety of classroom environments

Receive regular feedback and guidance from your dedicated Teaching Personnel consultant
What We’re Looking For:

QTS or pending QTS (for those qualifying in Summer 2025)

Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
A flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude
-
Passion for teaching and supporting young learners
-
Ability to travel to schools across Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
