Substitute Teacher
Caerphilly
Are you seeking adhoc day to day supply work across secondary schools?
Would you like a flexible diary?
Have you got teaching or coaching qualifications?
Responsibilities:
- Teach classes to pupils aged between 11-16.
- Manage challenging behaviour.
- Work alone or alongside support staff.
- Adhere to a timetable.
Work is often pre-set, but if you are a specialist in a certain subject area, we can advertise you as ‘general cover’ or within your chosen subject.
Details of the role:
- Monday to Friday during term time (you can update your availability via an app).
- 08:15am – 15:30pm – all shifts and school times will be within this timeframe.
- Can be a 1 day or longer-term booking.
- Stepping in for short or long-term teaching absence.
Expectations:
- Teaching or coaching experience.
- Qualified Teaching Status if you’re going to be covering a teacher.
- We also offer ‘unqualified teaching bookings’ – you’d be required to control classes of up to 30 pupils.
- Strong classroom management skills.
Teaching Personnel work closely with secondary schools across Wales, we are currently seeking substitute teachers to cover the Caerphilly area. You will have access to an app whereby you can update your availability.

Teacher rate: minimum £151.70 per day.
Unqualified Teacher rate: starting at £100 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
