Sports Graduate

Start date: January 2024

Location: Leyland

Contract type: Long-term

Working hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm)

Pay rate: £11.85-£12.50 p/h

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sports Graduate role in a well-established Specialist Provision in the Leyland area. This full-time role is available from January 2024.

The ideal candidate must have a Sports related degree/qualification and previous experience supporting children with SEMH is desirable but not necessary. You must be comfortable when facing challenging behaviour and must have a positive approach at all times.

You will be required to plan and deliver high quality sports sessions, monitoring each pupil’s individual progression and altering your approach in line with pupil’s additional needs. You will be delivering sessions to small class sizes and in some cases on a 1:1 basis.

This excellent Specialist Provision holds a pool of skilled professionals who offer a nurturing environment for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues as well as Educational Healthcare Plans. A quiet setting surrounded by gardens, this school provides a calm feel, supporting development, creativity and opportunities. Their structure of holding core subjects in a morning followed by optional subjects in the afternoon is their key to happy, safe and successful pupils.
