Sports Coach

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable university sports graduate with a ‘can do’ attitude to assist with a range of duties and activities across the School including: assisting teachers in PE lessons, games sessions, exam invigilation, school trips and other duties in-line with the post-holder’s skills and experience, with a focus on Sports initiatives. 

The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with a wide range of other staff across the school, given the diverse nature of the role. They will also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and have a willingness to work flexibly with both duties and hours in order to meet the requirements of the School.

The School provides training in skills both related to teaching and transferable to other professions. The school is situated in Cambridge, and has recently been graded by OFSTED as ‘Good’.

The Sports Graduate Assistant will need to be able to commence from April 2020, with the option of either a 6-month contract or a 12-month fixed-term contract until the end of Summer Term 2021.

Future Teachers Programme: The programme is designed in partnership with Teaching Personnel. The successful graduates will complete 12 months (Academic year) working within the school completing a range of roles including Supporting Teachers in class, leading small groups in your specialist subjects, monitoring pupil progress and attainment and reporting to class teachers. Upon completing the initial 12 month position the Graduates will then start on the school direct teacher training at one of the partnered schools with the view to becoming an outstanding Teacher.

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30pm – 5 days per week

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
