Sports Coach (SEMH Setting) – Blackburn
Age Range: 8-16 Years
Location: Blackburn
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, full-time, long-term
Pay: £13.75 per hour

Are you passionate about sports and making a positive impact? We’re looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to support pupils aged 8-16 in a Specialist Emotional, Social and Mental Health (SEMH) setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions tailored to pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Use sport to promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and emotional resilience.

  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies to create a safe, supportive environment.

  • Provide general support within the school to help meet pupils’ wider needs.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to support the personal development of each pupil.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in SEMH or similar settings.

  • Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm, patient approach.

  • Passion for sport and promoting physical activity for wellbeing.

  • Ability to adapt sessions to meet individual needs and foster inclusion.

  • Willingness to assist with general school support duties as needed.
