Speech and Language Therapist

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Do you have experience as a speech and language therapist, or, have you had experience supporting pupils who require speech therapy?

I work closely with a Blackburn based SEN School who have a number of pupils who require speech and language therapy.

The School is smaller than average and caters exclusively for pupils with additional needs. In some cases, some of the pupils will display challenging behaviours but this is fairly rare.

The School is based centrally in Blackburn and is accessible via public transport. This is a full time role and School hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday.

You will be expected to provide general classroom support as well as specific speech and language therapy, however, some of your timetable will be weighted towards providing specific 1:1 sessions with pupils who require additional support with their speech and language. A number of the pupils in thsi School as well have EAL, therefore, candidates who can speak a number of languages will be favoured!

The role will likely start in September 2020 and candidates must be available full time in order to apply.
