About the Role

  • Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our team, supporting children across primary and secondary schools in the Basingstoke area. This is a full-time position, ideal for an experienced therapist looking to make a real difference in pupils’ communication, language, and learning outcomes.
  • You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality speech and language therapy interventions tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for pupils with a range of needs (e.g., ASD, SLCN, developmental delays).
  • Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes, both one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Provide advice, resources, and training to teaching staff to support pupils’ communication development in the classroom.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.
  • Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registration or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
