Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant (PMLD)
Location: Ammanford, Llanelli
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an energetic, proactive and resilient Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to pupils with complex needs, including those who are non-verbal.
- Assist with Personal Care, PEG feeding, and other daily needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver individual learning programmes.
- Support pupils in a busy, active environment — keeping pace with their energy and engaging them in all aspects of school life.
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families, ensuring consistency and safeguarding at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEN).
- A positive, energetic approach and the ability to be proactive throughout the school day.
- Confidence, resilience, and flexibility when working in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to following school protocols.
- Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils who have a wide range of needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
