I am currently working with an excellent Primary School in Swadlincote that is looking for an SEN and Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support their school. It is a fantastic opportunity for an Ofsted rated "good" school that prides themselves in striving to meet the needs of every individual. They provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children make outstanding progress. This will be a long term, full time role starting September and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The role:
- Providing support for children with various SEN needs
- Managing challenging behaviour in the classroom
- Hours: 8:30-15:30
- Keeping the children on task and engaged in lessons
- Assisting with Maths, English and Phonics
Requirements:
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience or Care experience desirable
- Experience working with young children is essential
- Resilient, enthusiastic and nurturing personality
- Taking initiative
- Be able to travel or live the Swadlincote area
- Must have a child only DBS on the Update Service
