Specialist Teaching Assistant

I am currently working with an excellent Primary School in Swadlincote that is looking for an SEN and Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support their school. It is a fantastic opportunity for an Ofsted rated "good" school that prides themselves in striving to meet the needs of every individual. They provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children make outstanding progress. This will be a long term, full time role starting September and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The role:

• Providing support for children with various SEN needs
• Managing challenging behaviour in the classroom 
• Hours: 8:30-15:30
• Keeping the children on task and engaged in lessons
• Assisting with Maths, English and Phonics

Requirements: 

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience or Care experience desirable 
• Experience working with young children is essential 
• Resilient, enthusiastic and nurturing personality 
• Taking initiative 
• Be able to travel or live the Swadlincote area 
• Must have a child only DBS on the Update Service
