Specialist Education Setting - Primary & Secondary
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist school in the Portsmouth area to recruit dedicated Teaching Assistants for both day-to-day supply and full-time roles.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with learning needs, communication and social interaction needs, Autism, and Social & Emotional needs.
Your Role Involves:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Assisting teachers to create individualised plans and lesson delivery
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping students develop and progress with independence, confidence and social skills
- Creating a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
- Taking students out into the community might be required
- Upholding and maintaining safeguarding policies and protocols at all times
We’re Looking For:
- Caring and patient individuals
- Highly resilient with the ability to be flexible with changing needs
- A genuine interest within Special Needs and inclusive education
- Previous experience in education, youth work, care or SEN
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
