Day-to-Day & Full-Time Opportunities Available
Specialist Education Setting - Primary & Secondary 

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist school in the Portsmouth area to recruit dedicated Teaching Assistants for both day-to-day supply and full-time roles.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with learning needs, communication and social interaction needs, Autism, and Social & Emotional needs. 


Your Role Involves:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Assisting teachers to create individualised plans and lesson delivery
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Helping students develop and progress with independence, confidence and social skills
  • Creating a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
  • Taking students out into the community might be required
  • Upholding and maintaining safeguarding policies and protocols at all times

  • Caring and patient individuals
  • Highly resilient with the ability to be flexible with changing needs
  • A genuine interest within Special Needs and inclusive education
  • Previous experience in education, youth work, care or SEN
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
