Special Needs Teaching Assistant 

Full Time Opportunity

Pay based on £11.83 per hour

 

Our Specialist SEN Branch at Teaching Personnel are working in Partnership with 3 SEN schools based in Ely, Cardiff. They have approached us to support them recruit for their evergrowing staffing team. Your role is to support children between the ages of 3-19 with a variety of Additional Learning Needs including Autism and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties access an adapted curriculum at a pace that best suits them. 

The Successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will: 

  • Be flexible and understanding when changes are needing to be made at last minute. 
  • Have a can-do approach to all aspects of your work. 
  • Have a good sense of humour. 
  • Some knowledge of Additional Learning Needs - whether this is in a personal or professional capacity. 

The Role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant: 

  • To support the class teacher to implement an adapted curriculum that best suits all needs within your class. 
  • To support with personal care
  • To act as a team player and support the team when behaviours are present.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
