Special Needs Teacher - Rotherham

Are you a newly qualified or experienced teacher? Do you want to help improve the lives of children with special needs? Do you thrive in rewarding environments?

Teaching Personnel- the UK's leading education recruitment agency- are looking for teachers for children with Special Educational Needs in Rotherham. The children's needs include Autism, varying degrees of learning difficulties, physical disabilities or communication and interaction difficulties.

About the job:

  • You will be employed by Teaching Personnel, teaching in schools around Rotherham. We welcome teachers from all backgrounds with different specialisms, be it core subjects or creative ones
  • You will make lessons and activities accessible and all inclusive
  • You will be paid between £110-£165 a day depending on the role and experience
  • You will work alongside a welcoming team including support staff and medical staff to ensure the best for your students
  • In a day to day role you may need a driving license and your own vehicle to travel to different locations

About you:

  • Previous experience with SEN students is preferable, but we will also consider newly qualified teachers for the role
  • Experience in care settings, children's homes or with students in mainstream schools
  • We want teachers whose personalities shine and can promote the social development of students as well as academic progress
  • You will be confident in creating individual lesson plans tailored to the ability of each young person
  • You will need relevant qualifications, and a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
  • Most importantly you will be an encouraging mentor and positive role model!
