The school caters for approximately 142 young people between the ages of 4 and 19 who have PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) or Complex Needs. A significant number of students also have a diagnosis of autism (ASC), some of whom may also have significant physical, sensory or behavioural needs. The ages of the pupils involved will be within the Reception to Post-16 range.

You will work under the direction of the Teacher/s, to support pupils with a wide range of special needs to access learning.

  • You have proven experience working in educational setting or with children that have special needs
  • You are passionate, proactive and dedicated about improving the learning opportunities for children and young people
  • You have an ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs
  • You are a team player who can build good working relationships with colleagues
  • You are flexible, enthusiastic and resilient, with a good sense of humour
  • You have high aspirations in teaching and learning for all children and young people.

We are currently looking for candidates with full time, part time and flexible availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
