This post will suit an organised, professional individual who is prepared to work flexibly in a specialist educational setting. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and their own transport, due to the location of the school and limited public transportation.
Join a specialist therapeutic school for young people aged between 8 and 16 years old, with complex needs which include SEMH. Some of the individuals have additional needs such as autism, post-traumatic stress disorder or attachment disorder. The school can cater for up to 80 pupils from across the county. The supportive Senior Leadership Team aim to deliver the highest level of education tailored to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment where every student is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes.
The position will involve the following:
- Teaching the primary curriculum to a mixed class of up to 15 pupils ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
- Maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Distributing timely and accurate reports to all parties including SLT, Governors and parent/carers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
