Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Luton
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Role Overview
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a respected Luton school to find a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will support students with a variety of special educational needs, enabling them to access learning and develop important academic and social skills. Your duties will include providing individual and small group support, delivering tailored learning programmes, and working closely with teachers to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Main Responsibilities
- Offer direct support to pupils with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
- Modify teaching resources and help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students with personal care needs and encourage positive behaviours where necessary.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the SENCo to review and monitor pupil progress.
Candidate Profile
- Experience supporting children, preferably those with special educational needs.
- A sound understanding of diverse SEN requirements and how to meet them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificates are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
