The head of one of our client SEN schools are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic and capable Learning Support/Teaching Assistant with knowledge of OCD. The role will include working with mixture of students with varied learning needs. The main expectation of this LSA role will require you to provide 1-1 student support and, if needed, supporting small groups of students within a classroom setting. This current LSA post is ideal for candidates with previous LSA experience, who may have worked with children with ASD, ADHD and Language Difficulties.
The successful applicant must have the following:
- Interest and enthusiasm for working with children and supporting learning
- Experience of caring for or working with primary aged children
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills: English & Maths GCSE, C or above
- A flexible and creative approach
- Ability to work with SEN children
- Behaviour management skills
- Experience working on a one to one basis with SEN children
- Previous experience working with SEN children
- Ability to follow instructions
