Required at Ofsted “Good” secondary school, qualified Languages teacher specialising in Spanish who is comfortable with the delivery of lessons to secondary aged students.

  • Payment in line with MPS initially, with a view to a contract in the future
  • 11 – 16 secondary in Oldham with excellent facilities for students and staff
  • Support from experienced Head of Languages for newly appointed MFL teacher
  • Teaching French and Spanish across Key Stage 3 and 4 for remainder of academic year
  • Effectiveness of leadership and management is Good, Ofsted 2018

Our client school is a large, modern secondary academy on the outskirts of Manchester/Oldham with good accessibility from it's surrounding LEAs such as Manchester, Tameside, Rochdale and Bury due to the M60 motorway. Since moving to their newly purpose built site, the school has seen a consistent climb in all key performance metrics including; teaching and learning standards, Progress and Attainment Scores along with attendance and outcomes. The decisive action plan implemented by an established Head and their management team has pushed the school towards one of the most improved in Greater Manchester in recent years.

“We have an opening in our Languages department, and we are looking to appoint a skilled Spanish teacher to join us to cover a maternity absence for the remainder of this academic year, with the successful teacher having the opportunity to continue with us from September 2020” Deputy Head

All MFL teachers wishing to apply must have completed a PGCE or other relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Languages and be comfortable with the delivery of Spanish across age and ability ranges.
