SITE SUPERVISOR / Primary School CARETAKER NEEDED!

• Full time
• Initially 3 months contract - with the view to be extended
• Start date: 2ndSeptember 2019
• £9.50 p/h +

The Headteacher of a 'Good' one form entry Primary School in Preston is looking for appoint a School Caretaker to work for six hours per day - this will be three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon (6:45-9:15 and then 14:30-18:00). The role is initially for 3 months, with the view to be extended into January 2020.

You will be joining a welcoming team of Educational professionals and there will be a handover transition period with the current post holder who is moving on to progress their career. The school is near major public transport links and easily accessible links from the motorways.

The role:

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance.
• Booking outside contractors for major repair work
• Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
• Making sure that doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use
• Checking the premises to guard against vandalism or break-ins
• Opening up the building in the morning and locking it at the end of the day
• Arranging chairs and tables for meetings and clearing away afterwards
• Ordering materials & new equipment
• Taking bookings if rooms in the building are available for hire.
