Join our independent SEND School in Lymington, we are a specialist school for young people who have Autism and associated disorders. As one of the largest providers of care and education we pride ourselves on providing an excellent setting for young people to thrive in. 

We are seeking a senior teaching assistant to join our team. For this role you would ideally have significat experience as a teaching assistant. In this role you would support newer teaching assistants settle into the role and siupport our teaching team to provide the best curriculum to our students. 

The role will also involve:

  •  Help to create a safe, nurturing and caring learning environment in which children and young people can build resilience and develop their ability to self-regulate
  • Support the team with the development of personalised learning activities in school, off site and through remote learning as timetabled to allow children and young people to develop their full potential
  • Work with the school team to support small groups or pupils on a one- to one basis helping students in classroom based as well as other activities
  • Deliver educational interventions, and to contribute to the development and monitoring of learning and behaviour support plans
