Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking caring and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Hayle and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety in their role and want to make a meaningful impact in different school communities.

Working on a supply basis means you'll gain valuable experience across a range of year groups and educational settings while enjoying the flexibility to fit work around your lifestyle.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

You could be working:

  • One-to-one with individual pupils
  • Supporting small intervention groups
  • Assisting within the classroom environment
  • Across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
  • In both mainstream and SEND-focused provisions

You may support children with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate learning difficulties
  • Additional educational needs and EHCP-supported interventions

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from individuals who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people
  • Have knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEND
  • Are patient, resilient, and nurturing
  • Can adapt confidently to different school environments
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are passionate about helping children succeed

Previous experience in education, childcare, support work, youth work, care, or mentoring is highly desirable.
