Job Role: Support worker - supporting children/young people with Physical Disabilities (PD) Moving and Handling trained. 

Key Stage: KS3/KS4/KS5 (11 - 19) 

Subject: All curriculum areas 

Contract Type: PAYE 

Work Pattern: Full time

Salary: From £77 per day 

A school (judged to be 'good') specialising in supporting young people with severe and complex needs are looking to appoint a support worker as soon as possible. The successful support worker will be assigned to a class and will work under the direction of the class teacher to support students. You may be working on a 121 basis, or with small groups. Ideally we are looking for someone with Moving and Handling (Manual Handling) training, who would be able to use hoists, slings and frames to support students. There will be elements of personal care, so someone with prior experience in this area is essential. This role may suit someone who has worked within the adult care sector and is now looking to work with young people. 

The role is full time, term time only, working with a multi-sensory curriculum. You will have access to additional training in order to prepare for your role.
