KS3 Teaching Assistant – Autism Specialist Provision
Location: Cambridge area
Start Date: September 3rd 2025
Contract: Full-time, until October half term, likely to extend
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
The Role
Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated KS3 Teaching Assistant to support learners with Autism in a specialist setting. This full-time role involves working closely with students to provide tailored classroom support, encourage independence, and help young people engage positively in both academic and social activities. Due to the start date of this role, we are looking for educators who can commit to the recruitment process immediately.
Key responsibilities:

Supporting students with autism in 1:1 and small-group settings

Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom activities
-
Promoting positive behaviour and consistent routines
-
Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
-
Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing are prioritised
Requirements
-
GCSE (or equivalent) A*–C in Maths and English
-
Experience supporting children, adults or young people with SEND/Autism
- If you have personal experience supporting people with SEND we would still love to hear from you

Strong communication skills, patience and adaptability

Team player with the ability to stay calm under pressure

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
