SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Supply)
Start Date: March 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Bedale

We’re looking for a passionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team through a trusted supply agency. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them achieve their full potential
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Providing personal care when required, always with dignity and respect
- Working closely with teachers and staff to create a positive learning experience
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
What we’re looking for:
- Empathetic and patient, with a genuine desire to help children thrive
- Adaptable and resilient, ready to handle challenges with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- A team player who works well with colleagues and professionals
- Understanding of SEND needs such as autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting inclusion
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a SEND setting is desirable
- Ability to provide personal care support when needed
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
