Teaching Personnel are working alongside a SEND provison based in Northumberland (NE61). You will be working alongside KS3+4 pupils with SEND, assiting them through lessons and preparing them for a smooth transition.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress
  • Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupils
  • Provide support for pupils with challenging behaviour taking account of support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher

A successful candidate must provide the following

  • Must an enhanced child and adult DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Patient and Reliable
  • Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
  • Be confident supporting children and young people
  • Worked as a Care / Support worker

This role is available immediately and required until the end of the academic year with the potential of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £11.87 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
