SEN Tutor – Bedfordshire
- Excellent rates of pay
- Flexible work patterns
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- Continuous Professional Development opportunities through Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are working alongside the local authorities and l and local Virtual Schools within the Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Luton areas to recruit for several experienced tutors to provide one-to-one support and tailored learning programmes to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Most of the students we work with are currently without a school place which means they will require both maths & English tuition within the school day and will work with our tutors until a new school place is found. These will be students that have been excluded from a school setting, have SEN requirements, or are looked after children.
The roles we have available can either be day-to-day or long-term placements involving tutoring and supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, from a range of ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate and feel they can effectively engage these pupils with their learning, helping to boost their knowledge and understanding of Maths and English, bridging the gap, and allowing them to excel.
We are seeking candidates with the following:
- Hold QTS/NQT status, or alternative, equivalent qualifications or have relevant experience
- Have or would be willing to obtain a valid DBS
- Confident in teaching core Maths and English across all key stages
- Have experience of working within a SEN environment, working with pupils with complex needs
- Have experience of behavioural management
- Consider themselves to be both flexible and adaptable
- Have appropriate additional training and qualifications for the role
- Find it rewarding to make an impact and better the learning experience for pupils that struggle to engage
Teaching Personnel are the Market Leader for Education Recruitment in the UK, with 23 years of experience in the industry.
You would have your own sector specialist in the form of an experienced and dedicated consultant who understands your needs and would support you through all recruitment opportunities, as well as access to CPD courses through our CPD Academy.
