SEN Tutor
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel work very closely with Virtual School's and SEN Service's to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils throughout Hull and East Yorkshire
Most of our tuition is provided for pupils who are not in education and are awaiting school placements, however we also have requests to provide tuition online. The pupils need support to ensure that they do not fall too far behind on their education following missing chunks of school or awaiting suitable school placements.
The tuition can be anything from 1 hour a day to full time and we have multiple students for you to support enabling you to work full or part time depending on your availability.
Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:
- Behavioural difficulties (Pupils excluded from school and are waiting on a new placement)
- Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety.
- Medical needs.
- Relocation, waiting for a school placement.
- Improvements in grades needed.
- Support with GCSE preparation.
- Catch Up Tuition.
- National Tutoring Programme (NTP).
The majority of the tuition is within the core subjects; specialists within this field would be beneficial in order to fulfil the current need. Teaching Personnel receive tuition requirements for pupils ranging from Year 1 up to College age, so we are looking for both primary and secondary specialists.
Tuition will best suit teachers who need the flexibility or are looking to utilise their teaching skills outside of a school environment. A formal teaching qualification that provides QTS is essential.
If you have experience as a tutor or are a Fully/ Newly Qualified Teacher interested in tuition, please click "Apply Now" and I will be in contact to discuss further.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
