Job description

Empower Young Learners Through Personalised Support – SEN Tutor Needed in Weymouth

At TP Tutors, we understand that every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed. For some young people, tailored one-to-one tuition can make a lasting difference by improving confidence, increasing engagement, and helping them reach their full potential.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Tutors in Weymouth to support children and young people with additional learning needs.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Weymouth and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available

About the Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver personalised learning sessions designed around each student’s individual needs, strengths, and goals. Sessions may take place outside of mainstream school settings and will focus on creating a positive and supportive learning experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and tailored one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Support learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other additional needs
  • Adapt lesson delivery to suit different learning styles and abilities
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
  • Build strong and supportive relationships with students and families
  • Monitor progress and adapt learning plans where required
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Backgrounds in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, youth work, care, or support work are advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities
  • Willingness to travel within Weymouth and nearby areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
