Job description

Support Young Minds with Personalised Learning

TP Tutors is seeking caring and dependable tutors in Southampton to provide tailored Maths and English tuition for students with Special Educational Needs.

If you have experience in education or SEN support and are looking for flexible work where you can make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Title: SEN Tutor (SEND Specialist roles available)
Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver personalised lessons suited to each learner
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional needs
  • Establish a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment
  • Deliver sessions in students’ homes or community settings
  • Promote confidence, engagement, and academic progress

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
  • Ability to teach Maths and/or English at primary or secondary level
  • Based in Southampton or able to travel locally
  • Patient, adaptable, and understanding approach
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
