Job Title: Core SEN Tutor Location: Oxford Salary: £20-£25 per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Core SEN Tutor to join our team in Oxford. As a Core SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one tutoring and personalised educational support to help these students thrive academically and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' individual needs and learning styles.
- Develop and implement customized learning plans tailored to each student's specific requirements.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects and areas of need.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in SEN education.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or certification in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies for effective intervention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
