About the School:

This special needs school caters for pupils who are supported by a statement of special educational needs for their severe or moderate learning difficulties (SLD and MLD). About a third of pupils have a diagnosis of Autism (ASC) and a few others have additional sensory or physical difficulties.

The school caters for 66 students between the ages of 4-19.

At this school, each pupils needs are carefully and individually evaluated so that they can aspire to reach exceptional standards. The curriculum is profoundly personalised so that students can be supported to take the next steps in their journey towards adulthood.

What are we looking for?

For this position, it is essential you have experience working with young people that have special educational needs. It would be beneficial for you to have experience working in a school setting.

Due to the varying needs and age of the students at this school, we are looking for applicants who have a flexible approach to work. Although rewarding, working with such vulnerable young people can be extremely challenging so we are looking for team players with a great sense of humour.
