SEN Teaching Assistants in Greenwich

At Teaching Personnel we are recruiting for individuals with experience working with pupils with SEN. Suitable candidates will have perseverance, good level of care and be forward-thinking. They will have the ability to deal with the students confidently; ensuring appropriate care is given and ensures the inclusion of pupils in classroom settings. We have three schools in the area that require various SEN specialists to help in their schools full-time on a day-to-day basis. The role can be demanding therefore it is essential candidates are able to work confidently in a challenging environment and under pressure.

We are seeking individuals who have previous experience with pupils with SEN

*ASC, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD SLCN, BSL or MLD *

The schools are located in Greenwich and are about 10 minutes walk from the Greenwich train station. The Teaching Assistant will need to assist in all areas at the school such as SEN and intervention programs. You will be required to provide care on a 1:1 basis or with a small group with other work colleagues, and reporting back to the class teacher at the end of the day or the school SENCO.

Requirements

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, a degree or any other relevant qualification
  • Passionate and enthusiastic in supporting children
  • Experience working with any SEN individual
  • Be able to promote social skills of the student
  • Ability to provide medical support, personal care as and when needed.
  • 2 References
  • A valid DBS on the update service
