Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a large, specialist school/college in Wirral that provide a happy and secure environment for children aged 11-19 with complex and severe learning disabilities which include little or no language abilities. The school are looking to employ Teaching Assistants on a full/part time long term basis.
Students in this school have a range of SEN and the school is extremely supportive and are able to provide a range of services including an all-inclusive sports facility, specialist therapy as well as staff with expertise in autism, multi-sensory impairments and behaviour management.
Students needs include ASC, hearing or visual impairment with additional needs, Profound and multiple learning disabilities, Complex physical disabilities, Additional medical needs including progressive and degenerative conditions.
You must have had solid experience working with children and/or young people with complex and severe learning disabilities including Autism. Additional training and experience such as Moving and Handling, Team-Teach, Peg feeding, PECS and Personal Care would be highly beneficial.
The pay rate for this role will be £9.50 per hour
