Our specialist SEN branch of Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of one of our partner SEN school is based in Blaenau Gwent. You will be working with a small group of pupils who have a range of additional learning needs. The ideal candidate will have recent ALN/SEN classroom experience. This is a full-time Key Stage Two (KS2) position and is a challenging but rewarding environment to work in. The staff at the school are incredibly supportive and really do reward their staff. This provision caters for children and young people aged 3 to 19 who are have a wide range of SEN including Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound & Multiple Difficulties and Autism. We are always looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with pupils, and a great understanding of the specific needs of children with PMLD. Majority of pupils are wheelchair users, are medically dependent and require support with personal care. Pupils have access to fantastic facilities which include: Hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms and on-site physiotherapists.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be someone who is confident, patient and will have a real desire to help children reach their potential in education. Recent, up to date safeguarding training is desirable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
