Role: SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-time role beginning in May 2026.
Location: Tuebrook (L13)
Work Times: 30 hours per week across 5 days (8.45am – 3.15pm)
Pay Rate: £14.30 - £15.00 per hour

Teaching Personnel has been contacted by a welcoming primary school in Tuebrook seeking to recruit a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing dedicated support to children with a range of additional needs, including those who are non-verbal.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs. You will work closely with non-verbal children to help them express themselves, engage with their education, and build independence—using tools such as visual supports, communication aids, and personalised learning strategies. These children have huge potential, and your support will be key in helping them progress both academically and socially.

The school is situated in the heart of Tuebrook, with good transport links and nearby parking. Rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted, the school prides itself on being inclusive, supportive, and committed to ensuring every child receives equal opportunities within a nurturing learning environment. This position will begin in May 2026, with the possibility of a permanent contract depending on the success of the candidate. This is a five‑day‑per‑week position, covering 30 hours. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
