Teaching Assistants (SEN/SEMH)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team, working closely with students to provide essential support in their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students navigate the challenges they face, both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with teachers, offering one-on-one or small group sessions aimed at developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and self-care techniques. Your support will be crucial in creating a positive and nurturing environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them develop emotional resilience and life skills
- Assist in developing and implementing tailored education plans for students with mental health needs
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adjust support as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to all safeguarding and privacy regulations
- Assist in managing student behavior and meeting the specialist needs of the young people
About You:
- GCSEs/Level 2 Equivalent in Mathematics
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in an educational or mental health setting
- Strong understanding of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
- Commitment to professional development and best practices in supporting students with mental health concerns
- Understanding of child safeguarding with the ability to respond to concerns efficiently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
