SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lichfield / Staffordshire

Monthly salary: £1200-1500 GBP

Contract: Full time (temporary to permanent contract)

Candidate: Must have SEN experience

 

Teaching personnel are working closely with a specialist school in Licfield who are looking for a SEN teaching assistant who is experienced working with SEN and young people. This school supports students aged 4 to 11 years old and has around 200 pupils in total. The students at this school have a range of needs which cannot be met within mainstream education. Individual needs can include Autistic spectrum condition, severe learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, speech, language and communication needs, SEMH needs. Each student is supported with a My Aspirational Plan and there are speech and language therapists who visit and advise teachers on individual programmes.

The school is looking for people who have had experience working autism and young children. The idea candidate will be flexible, positive, and resilient. This schools’ facilities include a multi-sensory room, nurture room, soft play and a Forest school area.

In order to be considered:

  • Must have experience working with young people.
  • Must have experience working with SEN (ASD, MLD, PMLD)
  • Have a passion for education.
  • Hold a current and clear DBS or willing to do a new one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
