SEN Teaching Assistant – Qualified Only

Location: Bedford

Contract: 3 days per week, first 2 weeks of January

Hours: part-time

We are working with a primary school in Bedford seeking a skilled and committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is strictly for candidates holding a formal SEN qualification; experience alone will not be accepted. The successful TA will support pupils with a range of additional needs, providing targeted interventions and classroom support to help them thrive.

About the role:

  • Part-time SEN TA position (3 days per week for first 2 weeks of January)

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom

  • Delivering targeted interventions and individual support plans

  • Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO

  • Ensuring pupils are engaged, safe and supported throughout the school day

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a formal SEN qualification (essential)

  • Has experience supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Is confident delivering interventions and supporting classroom learning

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Is reliable, proactive and enthusiastic

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
