SEN Teaching Assistant- The School


This is a SEN Primary School and caters for student social, emotional, mental Health difficulties, Complex Learning Needs and Autism Spectrum Condition. This school strives to provide a healthy, happy and safe environment for pupils.


SEN Teaching Assistant - Person Specification


In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must be willing and passionate and have had experience of working with primary aged children. The school wants Teaching Assistant who can quickly establish strong relationships and bring an enviable supply of enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be, enthusiastic and have a passion for helping student with special needs. The school want to meet applicants who have a desire to pursue a career in education, with an appreciation and understanding of putting their full potential into this SEN Teaching Assistant.


SEN Teaching Assistant - Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working across the whole school. Your responsibilities will include working closely with a number of SEN students on a 1:1 basis. By working with multiple SEN students across the whole class you will ensure that no child is left behind and all of them have the support they need.


SEN Teaching Assistant - Location
This school is located in Knowsley, a short drive from the M57. There are also bus stops located near the school for SEN Teaching Assistants who are using public transport.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
