SEN Teaching Assistant – Penzance & Surrounding Areas

The Role:
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and proactive individuals to work as SEN Teaching Assistants in a variety of educational settings across Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with experience in care or classroom environments who are seeking meaningful work supporting children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH

  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

  • Building strong, nurturing relationships with students and staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a school, care, or support setting

  • A strong understanding of SEN behaviours and how to respond effectively

  • Full-time availability and flexibility to work across multiple schools in the Penzance area

  • A commitment to providing inclusive and supportive education for all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
