SEN Teaching Assistant – Keynsham
Frequency: Full Time
Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for SEN Teaching Assistant to work within one of our Primary Schools in the Keynsham area.
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be based in a dedicated SEN hub within a school, supporting Primary-aged children who may become emotionally dysregulated. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Assisting with personalised learning plans to help pupils achieve their goals
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment, ensuring children feel secure and supported in their learning.
Desirable Experience
- Ability to be flexible and adapt your approach to meet diverse needs
- Experience with children with Special Educational Needs
- Capability to build and maintain rapport with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
