SEN Teaching Assistant 

Do you have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs? 

Join a welcoming secondary school in Tameside seeking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant from September.  

The successful Teaching Assistant will work as part of the schools Special Educational Needs team to raise standards, improve outcomes and opportunities for all students. They will work with students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) on a 1:1 and small group basis to assist with academic and behavioural needs. Support will be provided in class and in the schools specialist SEN department. 

We are looking for a passionate candidate who has previous experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs. 

This 11-16 secondary school is located a short drive from the surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and the High Peak and caters to students to a diverse background of students from all areas. 

Highlights of this SEN Teaching Assistant position: 

•    Full-time position starting in September. 

•    Supporting students with EHCP’s on a 1:1 and small group basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
