Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a teaching assistant with specialist training and experience with SEN. Our client school are looking for a candidate with extensive experience within this area coupled with relevant training and qualifications to fulfil this role. The client school is a fantastic two form entry school in the Teignmouth area that received ‘good’ in their last OFSTED. The successful candidate will have the full support of the school staff as well as the class teacher in the year three class

The successful candidate must have:

  • experience working within a mainstream/SEN school, alternative provision or inclusion centre.
  • MAPA training desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs/SEN (Autism, Emotional Difficulties, Behavioural Difficulties or Learning Difficulties) or training in PECS/ Makaton/ BSL / Team Teach is desirable.
  • QTS or equivalent
  • A driving license and a car is desirable but may not be a necessity
  • A recent DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • A passion for education and teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
